PIH Health Appoints New Chief Financial Officer
Anita Chou Joins PIH Health Leadership Team
Whittier, Calif. (November 20, 2019) – Anita Chou has joined PIH Health as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). In this position, Chou will be responsible for day-to-day operations of Finance and Accounting for the enterprise. She will oversee all aspects of the Financial Services Department and will also manage functions related to enterprise revenue cycle, decision support, and health information management.

Chou has nearly 20 years of experience in hospital systems and healthcare finance. She joins PIH Health from Verity Health System, where she served as System Chief Financial Officer and managed all finance functions for five acute facilities, one skilled nursing facility, and a medical foundation and associated clinics. Prior to Verity, she served as the Hospital Segment CFO for Prospect Medical Holdings with financial oversight over 14 hospital entities in four states. She has also held finance leadership positions at St. Vincent Medical Center in Los Angeles, Saint John’s Health Center in Santa Monica, Valley Presbyterian Hospital in Van Nuys, and USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center in Los Angeles. She started her career at El Camino Hospital in Mountain View, California.
Chou holds a Master of Health Administration Degree from the University of Southern California, and a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of California, San Diego.
